3 Common Types of Schools in Hong Kong

1. Public Schools
Public Schools are fully government-funded.
They focus strongly on discipline, academic achievement, and local culture.

2. Direct Subsidy Schools (DSS) and Private Schools
DSS schools receive partial government funding, while private local schools are not government-funded. That's why they both enjoy more flexibility in curriculum design.

3. International Schools
International schools are privately run and usually follow global curricula such as IB, IGCSE, A-Levels, or AP. They emphasise creativity, inquiry-based learning, and global citizenship
